Planning Commission Meeting
Town of Germantown Town Hall
N7560 17th Avenue
New Lisbon, WI 53950
March 11, 2015
Present: Chairman Dale Simonson, Roger Bean, Paul Szymaszek, George Vukich, Keith Korbein, Shannon Voegle, Administrative Assistant Linda Ruiz
Absent: Larry Zimmerman, Zoning Administrator Dick Martin
Call to Order
The meeting was called to order in the Town of Germantown at 5:30 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance
The pledge of allegiance was recited by all.
A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by George Vukich to accept the meeting minutes from the January meeting as corrected to remove the extra e and the end of the word “rescinded” in the member comments. Motion carried 6-0.
Dale Simonson reminded everyone about the ordinances that were rescinded at Monday, October 20, 2012 meeting, and that they were only rescinded because they were voted on in a group.
Ordinance 9 Regulating Land Use
Dale wants it changed to read in bold print that all definitions are found in ordinance 22, section 11. Shannon said four definitions are not in the Zoning ordinance. Camping trailer, house trailer, junk and junk yard. Roger said house trailer is now called a mobile home or manufactured home.
Roger made a motion to Change ordinance 9 to remove all definitions in section 2 except for Junk and Junkyard, and then add the bold sentence underneath it: “All other definitions for the purpose of this ordinance shall be found in Ordinance 22, Section II”, and remove the extra period at the end of page 7, Section 11, Letter E. George seconded. Passed 6-0
Ordinance 14, 28, 32, 33, and 41
Discussion about reviewing 14, 28, 32, 33, and 41 – to combine them all into one ordinance. Put on next month’s agenda.
Discussion on Fee Schedule
Discussion about adopting the new FEE SCHEDULE as Linda prepared on an excel spreadsheet, with no changes to the fees yet, then change each corresponding ordinance wording to remove the fees and replace with a statement referring you to the fee schedule for the amount of the fee.
Dale will invite the Board chairman to come to the next Planning Commission meeting to find out how he wants us to proceed with separating the fee schedule from the ordinances.
Dale recommends ordinances be written so that the general public can understand it rather just than with the reference to a state statute.
Set date for next meeting
The next meeting will be May 13
A motion was made by Roger, seconded by Keith, to adjourn at 6:56 p.m. Motion carried 6-0.
