CRAM
The Township of Germantown is a member of CRAM (County Recycling Agreement of Municipalities).  Ten townships are currently members of this agreement.  The county is responsible for its enforcement in the Townships that belong to C.R.A.M.  The disposal site for the C.R.A.M Recycling Program is at the Juneau County Landfill located at W7611 Ceylon Road, New Lisbon, WI.  You must first stop at the scale operator window at the landfill to let them know your name and that you are from the Town of Germantrown each time you bring your recyclables to the landfill.  Information on how to recycle and what is to be recycled is available below.  See the Juneau County Landfill Trash & Recyling Guide .

Monday-Wednesday-Thursday  8:00am to 3:30pm
Saturday  8:00am to 12:00pm

DNR REGULATIONS:  REDUCE-REUSE-RECYCLE WISCONSIN STATUTE 287.07 PROHIBITED ITEMS:  LIQUIDS, HAZARDOUS WASTE, FRIABLE ASBESTOS, AMMUNITION EXPLOSIVES, MEDICAL AND RADIOACTIVE WASTE, BRUSH/TREE BRANCHES, DEAD ANIMAL CARCASSES, ASPHALT SHINGLES

THE FOLLOWING MUST BE RECYCLED  (Can be co-mingled) 

  • Glass-anything made 100% glass, cleaned
  • Corrugated Cardboard
  • Aluminum-cans only, siding in metal pile
  • Paper-all non-corrugated paper
  • Magazines
  • Plastic-Milk, soda, soap bottles only (Anything with recycle traingle 1-7)
    No Tarps, Tools, Trays or Toys
  • Tin-Cans–Must be rinsed clean.

These Items at Various Drop Off Areas Near the Juneau County Landfill Office:

  • Batteries, Crankcase Oil, Anti-Freeze, Microwaves, Metal or Aluminum Roofing, Scrap Metal, Compost-Grass Clippings, Leaves, Household

These Items Dropped Off Near the Juneau County Landfill Office for Extra Fees:

  • $20.00 Fee:  Refrigerators, Air Conditioners, Dehumidifiers
  • $15.00 Fee:  Computer Monitors, Televisions, Starter Ballasts, and Capacitors
  • $5.00 Fee:  Microwaves
  • $0.15/Pound:  Tires
  • $1.00 each for florescent bulbs
  • $10.00 each: All Mattresses – Crib, Twin, Double, Queen, King Mattress or Box Springs

Landfill Rates:  $85.00/Ton or $10.00 MinimumAcceptable Items for Juneau County Landfill Disposal:

  • Common Household Trash, Various Other Household Items, Furniture
