Emergency Management
The check form the DNR came. There was a Dry hydrant meeting in which two locations for the hydrants were identified. Both fire departments were present at the meeting and were agreeable.

Radio grants have been awarded – $20,218.00, and the town share will be $5,100.00. Motion by Jim Collis to use the $5100 to purchase the digital radios, 2nd by Skip Barton. Motion carried 4-0. We will be applying to the state for the dry hydrant installation, which should cover 95% – 100% of the cost.

The Fly Car that we bought for Mauston Area Ambulance was out front to take a look at before the meeting. Fred Cobbs explained how it would work along with the ambulance. It will be considered a first responder.

For the month of June there were 66 police calls, and 13 of these were alarms. All the alarms were false alarms.

A resident asked if we can have the police report on the web each month. Discussion ensued and it was thought that we could just include them in the meeting minutes and that should be sufficient.

Roads
No report

Parks
Gregg showed everyone the latest version of the park sign. Said it was still a work in progress.

Board Reports
Jim Collis will bring a report to the next month to view, about roads.

A resident asked if we have checked with DNR to see if we can put in a beach. Gregg said we may try to get rid of some of the rock and put a 60’ beach in, and make it a Germantown Beach.

Jim Collis said we should be getting a check soon from TRIP.

Gregg Haunroth said swing sets are a long term goal as they are too much money for right now. A resident suggested that maybe we could have a fund raiser to buy them.

Gregg Haunroth said that a “library box” will be placed outside the Germantown hall. He also said we’ll be making a welcome packet up for new residents, and that Brad Pavloski said he would print them for us.

Zoning/Building Permits
There were 8 permits in June with 1 new house.
