Present: Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Supervisors Ken Jax, Keith Korbein, Skip Barton, Ray Feldman, Zoning Administrator Dick Martin, Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther, Deputy Clerk Treasurer Michaele Korbein
Absent: Emergency Management Director Fred Cobbs, Assistant Emergency Management Director Christopher Leopold
Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 6:00 at the town hall.
Minutes
A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Skip Barton, to approve the January meeting minutes. Motion carried 5-0.
Treasurer’s Report
The Treasurer’s Report was read and placed into a file for audit.
Bank Reconciliation
A motion was made by Skip Barton, seconded by Keith Korbein, to accept the bank reconciliation. Motion carried 5-0.
Checks and Vouchers
A motion was made by Skip Barton, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve checks 12982-13030 totaling $262,051.85, checks 1515-1519 totaling $2,978,680.54, and EFTs totaling $5,898.35.
Operator’s License
A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve Operator’s Licenses for James Furan, Glenda Spires, and Bonny Larson. Motion carried 5-0.
Liquor License
A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Skip Barton, to approve a liquor license, non-intoxicating beverage license, and tobacco license, to Germantown Junction LLC, contingent upon surrender of the current licenses for the location, proof of ownership of the business, and proof of residency of the members of the LLC. A roll call vote was taken: Barton – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y.
Emergency Management
No Report
Roads
A quote was received from Monroe Truck for a 1 ton pickup truck with plow. The quote will be considered at the March meeting after review of current equipment loan and collateral.
Zoning
No Report
Parks/Hall
March 1 will be the bid opening for the park. Anticipated start date is April, 2022, and the anticipated completion date is May, 2023.
Board Reports
Haunroth – Grinder pump has issues that are being worked on by A&M Plumbing.
Vacating of unconstructed road in Whistling Wings will move forward if a petition from all neighboring landowners is received.
A review of the Town’s insurance coverage will be conducted. Prior to the 2022 insurance renewal a second agency will be asked to provide a quote.
Skip Barton – The road crew is doing well at keeping the roads clear this winter.
Ken Jax – Ken, Ray, Keith, and Michaele, attended the local Wisconsin Towns Association meeting.
and Information was presented by the County Emergency Management Director, County
Keith Korbein Road Highway Director, and state representatives. ARPA Funds were also discussed. Board of Review training will now be required yearly.
Ray Feldman – The first meeting with those involved with University Year will be in March. The project could be taken on by UW architecture students or a graduate student.
Public Comment
Could the town look into a used 1-ton pickup truck? Dick Martin responded that when looking into that option the used market has trucks in the same condition as the truck we would be replacing.
Follow up question from previous meeting regarding supply chain issues for Mauston Ambulance. No update as the last Mauston Ambulance meeting was cancelled.

A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Skip Barton, to go into closed session. A roll call vote was taken: Barton – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y.
