Pledge of Allegiance

Opening, discussion, and possible approval of road bids

Two bids from Scott Construction and two bids from Fahrner Asphalt were opened.  Scott Construction was the low bidder on both.  Keith Korbein made a motion, seconded by Jim Collis to go forward with Scott Construction on both projects as proposed; motion passed 4/0.

Discussion and possible approval additional traffic signs in O’Dells Bay

Discussed where No Parking signs were needed.  A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve the purchase and posting of No Parking signs from 17th Avenue past the Dirty Turtle and O’Dells’ pool to a spot to be discussed with Ray Monroe and 200 feet to the south where Osprey turns; motion passed 4/0.

Discussion and possible approval of zoning change

Discussion of zoning change to the Lake-N-Woods land at 40th and Zilinski for a proposed seasonal camping project.  The project was to be for permanent seasonal campsites, but has a proposed water feature, playground and mini golf that would be open to the public.  There are 62 proposed campsites and 16 cabins, for a total of 78 total sites.  Concerned that cabins could be rented year ‘round through AirBnB which is not a seasonal use, so they are in consistent in representing the whole project as seasonal.  A cabin rented for a weekend vs seasonal would be a separate approval process.  Disappointment was noted in that none of the owners were present to answer any questions at this meeting.  DNR and Juneau County would need to deal with the water and drainage issues.  Could approve with bias.  Jim Collis made a motion, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve the zoning change for the Lake-N-Woods project; motion passed 3/1 via roll call vote: Jim Collis -Yes, Keith Korbein -No, Gregg Haunroth -Yes, Ken Jax -Yes.

Discussion and possible committee appointments

Gregg Haunroth made a motion to approve the committee appointments as listed, except to delete Doug Staller from the Public Safety Committee as he moved away and to replace Skip Barton with Jim Collis as the CRAM Representative, seconded by Ken Jax; motion passed 4/0 on all except for Jim Collis abstaining on his own appointment.

A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Keith Korbein, to adjourn.  Motion carried 5-0.

Respectfully submitted,

Michaele Korbein

Deputy Clerk/Treasurer
