Regular Meeting Minutes

June 9, 2026

 

Present:                Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Supervisors Tamaya Loewe, Keith Korbein, Ken Jax, Ray Feldman, Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Michaele Korbein. Public Works Director Craig Cox

Absent:  Zoning Administrator, Dick Martin

 

 

Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 5:50 p.m. at the town hall with the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

Verification of Posting

Proper posting was completed.

 

Zac Board

Zac Board introduced himself and explained he is running for Juneau County Sheriff.

 

411 IT Group

Jason Huggins provided information about protecting against hacking and explained how the office computers are backed up.

 

Minutes

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Tamaya Loewe, to accept the minutes from May’s meetings.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Bank Reconciliation

The bank reconciliation was read aloud and placed on file for audit.

 

Checks

A motion was made by Tamaya Loewe, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve general fund checks 15290-15329 in the amount of $45,670.13, municipal court check 2026 totaling $582.50, impact fee EFT totaling $3,000.00 and payroll liabilities totaling $6,512.86.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Liquor, Tobacco, Soda Licenses

A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Tamaya Loewe, to approve liquor licenses as presented:   Class B Combo:  Pine Cove, Buckhorn Store, Buckhorn Gill and Bar, Dirty Turtle, Shipwreck, Portofino,  Class A Combo:  The Landing, Tobacco:  The Landing, Buckhorn Store, Class B Beer:  Relaxin’ Cabins, Class C Wine: Relaxin’ Cabins, Soda: Pine Cove, Buckhorn Store, Buckhorn Grill and Bar, Dirty Turtle, Shipwreck, Portofino, The Landing.  A roll call vote was taken:  Tamaya – Y, Keith – Y, Gregg -Y, Ken – Y, Ray – Y.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Operator’s Licenses

A motion was made by Tamaya Loewe, seconded by Ray Feldman, to approve operator’s licenses for: Jaelyn Ray, Alexandra Wittig, Chloe Walsh-Kobylski, Ella Plueger, Kennedey Vieth, Makenna Kniprath, Maysn Bires, Meghan Pfaff, Peyton Foster, Sean Fank, Rhonda Berndsen, Cade Hall, Grace Mullenberg, Alyssa Saunders, Shannon Schroeder, Jeanette Williamson, Paul Hill, Anita Johnstonbaugh, Dustyn Sparby, Shana Tucker, Lisa Manzardo, Abbagale Randall, Rachel Randall, Robert Kehoe, Heather Parmenter, Stacia Torkelson, Amanda Foster, Sandra Henneman, Regina Reedich, Lee Pingel, Natasha Winchel, Isabel Earhart, Mya Gehle, Nerissa Hedge, Heather Malone, Bridget McClyman, Alexis Rachas, Kelsey Rachas, Amber Rasmussen, Dylan Ray, Thomas Brown V, Catherine Kremmer and for the following people pending them providing their class certificate, Anna Kudick, Graciana Herrewig, Samantha Hug, Hunter Musgrove, Emily Teumer.  A roll call vote was taken:  Tamaya – Y, Keith – Y, Gregg -Y, Ken – Y, Ray – Y.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Holding Tank

A motion was made by Keith Korbien, seconded by Tamaya Loewe, to approve a holding tank at W4311 Steiner Avenue with the requirement to hook into the Sanitary District should the line be run down Steiner Avenue.  A roll call vote was taken:  Tamaya – Y, Keith – Y, Gregg -Y, Ken – Y, Ray – Y.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Emergency Management

No report.

 

Roads/Public Works

Piers are in at the park. Park bathrooms are open. Tree cleanup continues.  Grading being done on 16th.  LRIP request has been approved for funding work on 19th.  Shoulder reclaiming was done by Juneau County. 

 

Zoning/Permits

12 permits were issued in May.  10 were for new homes.

 

Board Reports

Keith Korbein –    Mauston Ambulance had a successful share night at Culvers.  Their call count for March was 266 with 11 in the Town of Germantown. An updated zoning map is nearing completion.  The Sheriff’s Department conducted 24 ATV/UTV stops in May. 

 

Gregg Haunroth- The size of the swimming area in the park increased this year to get more depth.  An addition was made to the pier for handicapped accessibility between sections.    Karl Johnson has removed the camper from his lot.  The town will work towards having the single wide trailer condemned. 

 

Ray Feldman-      Commented on the reclaiming of the road shoulders was done well. 

 

Public Comment

Thanks were given for new road signs. 

Question as to whether Badger Books and laptop were ordered.  Answer – Yes.
