Emergency Management

There are many flood watches currently in the area.

The fire departments have had 2 ice/water rescues of snowmobilers on Castle Rock Lake in the last few days.

Mauston Ambulance is working on an app that allows its staff to update the mapping portion to reflect road closures real time. This will aid in the use of alternative routes to emergency calls especially with the anticipated spring flooding.

Roads

There is a great deal of concern on managing roads during spring flooding and the melting/refreezing of snow on the roads.

In places with a history of flooding, snow may be relocated to hopefully lessen the volume of moisture adding to the problem.

Parks

The Park Committee members are reviewing the different tree options available for purchase form the DNR. The trees would be planted in the park.

Board Reports

Ken Jax stated that the roads are being well maintained in spite of the recent difficult weather conditions.

Zoning Administrator’s Report

There were no permits issued in February.

Public Comment

 None

Adjourn

A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Keith Korbein, to adjourn at 6:16 p.m. Motion carried 4-0.

Respectfully Submitted,

Susan Gather

Clerk/Treasurer
