Present:               Supervisors Skip Barton, Keith Korbein, Ken Jax, Ray Feldman, Assistant Emergency                                       Management Director Christopher Leopold, Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther, Deputy                                Clerk/Treasurer Michaele Korbein

 

Absent:                Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Emergency Management Director Fred Cobbs, Zoning                                Administrator Dick Martin

 

Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at the town hall at 6:00 p.m.

 

Road Bids 

Road bids were submitted by Scott Construction and Fahrners Asphalt. A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Kith Korbein, to accept the road bids that would be most advantageous to the Town of Germantown after being reviewed by Dick Martin. A roll call vote was taken: Barton – Y, Korbein – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y. Motion carried 4-0.

 

Minutes 

A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Skip Barton, to approve the minutes from April’s meeting. Motion carried 4-0.

 

Treasurer’s Report  

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Skip Barton, to accept the Treasurer’s Report. Motion carried 4-0.

 

Checks 

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Skip Barton, to approved checks 11395-11444 totaling $35,550.33 and EFT’s totaling $4,723.84. Motion carried 4-0.

 

Operators Licenses 

A motion was made by Skip Barton, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve operator’s licenses for John Haeberlin, Mikalya Holst, Joseph Fairbert, Ashley Bohnert, and Gail Ellis. Motion carried 4-0.

 

Resolution 2019-3 – Budget Amendment 

A motion was made by Skip Barton, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve Resolution 2019-3. A roll call vote was taken: Barton – Y, Korbein – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y. Motion carried 4-0.

 

Resolution 2019-4 Existing Employer Update Resolution Wisconsin Public Employers’ Group Health Insurance Program. 

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Skip Barton, to approve Resolution 2019-4. A roll call vote was taken: Barton – Y, Korbein – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y. Motion carried 4-0.

 

Camping Permits 

A motion was made by Skip Barton, seconded by Keith Korbein, to allow office staff to issue camping permits. Motion carried 4-0.

 

Bank Signer 

A motion was made by Skip Barton, seconded by Ray Feldman, to approve Michaele Korbein as a signer on bank checking accounts. Motion carried 3 ayes and 1 abstention.

 

Public Safety 

Christopher Leopold reported on Mauston Ambulance:   

               *Open house will be held May 18. 

               *Critical Care endorsement should be received in the next month.

               *Juneau County Hwy Safety Committee met with Mauston Ambulance regarding the proper                               disposal of medical items found along roads and highways. Sharps containers were                                             provided for vehicles to assist in disposal. 

               *Mauston Ambulance are currently down two- positions but interview will be starting soon. 

               One ambulance had an accident during an ice storm. It is currently being fixed and a loaner is in use. 

               Mauston Ambulance is meeting with Los Dells organizers about working at the event. 

               Mauston Ambulance will be holding elections in June for Association officers. 

               Juneau County Emergency Management/Public Works will be conducting a table- top exercise on May 15th

               New Lisbon First Responders are currently down a few people. New Lisbon Fire and Necedah Fire will be                      helping cover calls that the First Responders would usually handle until staffing needs are met.

 

Park 

Trees were planted in Germantown Park and in the field behind the old brush dump. Remaining trees were given out to Germantown residents and land- owners for planting. All trees were disbursed.

 

Board Reports 

Ray Feldman –   The Sheriff’s Committee met earlier in the day. Because of staffing shortages boat                                patrolling will likely be at a minimum this summer. 

Ken Jax –             Ken attended the Wisconsin Towns Association meeting. Juneau County will begin                                   posting road closures on their website. This will be a great help to emergency services                                      as well as commuters. 

                              Juneau County Health will be provided free water test kits to county residents soon. 

 

Zoning 

14 permits were issued in April. 6 were for new homes.

A motion was made by Skip Barton, seconded by Keith Korbein, to adjourn at 7:40 p.m. Motion carried 4-0.
