Present:               Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Supervisors Jim Collis, Keith Korbein, Ken Jax, Ray Feldman, Zoning Administrator Dick Martin, Emergency Management Director Christopher Leopold, Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Michaele Korbein

 

Absent:                 None

 

Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. at the town hall.

 

Bank Reconciliation

Read and placed on file for audit.

 

Checks

A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve general fund checks 13583-13614 totaling $40,258.11, park account checks 5024-5025 and line of credit payments totaling $123,068.87, impact fee checks 5027-5028 totaling $82,409.87 and payroll liabilities totaling $6,722.40.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

ARPA Money Designation

The board has a list of needs that the funds could be used on.  It was decided to begin by getting quotes for a new roof for the town hall. 

 

Emergency Management

Be aware of fire danger this season.

 

Mauston Ambulance met with municipalities that are currently served by Camp Douglas Ambulance.  Mauston is working on budget numbers and what would need to be done to take on these municipalities should Camp Douglas Ambulance fail.

 

Roads

Dick will have this year’s potential road work prepared for quotes.  Bids should be received for next month’s meeting.

 

Zoning

4 new permits were issued in March.  2 for new homes.  There have been 7 permits issued for new homes this year to date.

 

Parks

Park construction finances were reviewed to verify savings and overages and to make sure the project is still on budget and fulfilling grant requirements.

Gregg Haunroth                The camping ordinance should be reviewed and an easy to follow list of requirements be created to accompany the permit application.  The same should be done with other ordinances that would fall under code enforcement by the Town.

DNR/Recycling There is still work to be done to have a recycling center in the Town.  It will be a labor-intensive project.

Keith Korbein                      Thanks given to election workers for a well-run election.

 Jim Collis                              Reiterated the need for caution during high fire danger.

 

Public Comment

There was a question if a new deputy was hired.  There has been.  She will be starting soon. 

 

There was a request for increased use of the Town’s Facebook page.

 

Closed Session

A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Ray Feldman, to go into closed session.  A roll call vote was taken:  Collis – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y.  Motion carried 5-0.

A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Ray Feldman, to go into open session.  A roll call vote was taken:  Collis – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y.  Motion carried 5-0.

A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Ken Jax, to adjourn at 7:04 p.m. Motion carried 5-0.
