Planning Commission Meeting Minutes

April 12, 2023

 

 

Present:            Commission Chair Shannon Armel, Commissioners Ken Jax, Keith Korbein, Mick McCormick, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Michaele Korbein

Absent:            Commissioner Gervase Thompson, Zoning Administrator Dick

Public:              None

 

–Call to Order

The Planning Commission meeting was called to order by chairperson Shannon Armel at the Germantown Town Hall at 5:50pm. 

 

Pledge of Allegiance

 

–Possible approval of the March meeting minutes and public hearing minutes

Ken Jax made a motion, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve the minutes of the March 15, 2023 Planning Commission meeting and public hearing.  Motion passed 4-0.

 

–Update and discussion on PUD list from the Pavloski’s

The list they presented includes Sand Point in progress, a ‘proposed revision in progress’ for Bear Paw, and the 12 unconstructed condominiums in High Ridge, besides all their other completed PUDs.

 

–Discussion and possible approval of changes to Ordinance 2

Discussion of information from the State.  Keith Korbein made a motion, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve changes to Ordinance 2 as follows:  in Section 10 to add remove from first sentence after the word ‘and’: ‘resident of Wisconsin continuously for not less than one year prior to the filing of such application’ and then insert in its place, “at least 18 years of age when license is issued.”, then add the sentence immediately after that says “The Town Clerk may approve a provisional operator’s license until the Town Board approves a regular operator’s license.”;  also in first paragraph of Section XI, to end the sentence at ‘United States’ by removing ‘and Wisconsin.’; motion passed 4/0.

 

–Discussion and possible approval of changes to ordinances 15,4,13,30,35,46,57

Discussion of Town Engineer Larry Koopman’s notes to assist with updated Ordinance 15 to bring the ordinance up to current industry standards.  Keith Korbein made a motion to approve the changes as provided by the Town’s Engineer, seconded by Mick McCormick; motion passed 4/0.  Changes will be inserted for additional review with Ordinance 4.  Shannon Armel is still working on incorporating Ordinances 13,30,35,46, & 57 into a traffic code to deal with more traffic-related items. 

 

–Discussion and possible approval of changes/updates to fee schedule related to items on this agenda  Keith Korbein made a motion to add a $5 provisional operator’s license to the fee schedule for Ordinance 2, seconded by Ken Jax; motion passed 4/0.

 

–Adjourn.

Next meeting to be May 10, 2023 at 5:30pm.  Ken Jax made a motion to adjourn seconded by Mick McCormick. Motion passed 4-0.  Meeting adjourned at 6:45 pm.
