Regular Meeting Minutes
April 14, 2026
Present: Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Supervisors Tamaya Loewe, Keith Korbein, Ken Jax, Ray Feldman, Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Michaele Korbein, Public Works Director Craig Cox

Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 5:47 p.m. at the town hall.
Verification of Posting
Susan Ganther verified posting of the agenda online and the three designated public places.
Amy Penn – WI DNR
Amy presented information on work being done with residents in Castle Rock Estates. They have received grant money to do tree work in the road right-of-way. After completion they will be eligible for further grant money to continue that work.
Minutes
A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Tamaya Loewe, to approve the minutes from March’s meeting. The motion carried 5-0.
Bank Reconciliation
The bank reconciliation was read aloud and placed on file for the auditor.
Checks
A motion was made by Tamaya Loewe, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve general fund checks 15187-15248 totaling $57,239.76, municipal court check 2025 totaling $660.00, impact fee EFT totaling $64.90 and payroll liabilities totaling $8,763.18. Motion carried 5-0.
Operator’s Licenses
A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Tamaya Loewe, to approve operator’s licenses for Anita Johnstonbaugh, Hailey Barker, and Lisa Manzardo. Motion carried 5-0.
An application by Natasha Winchel was tabled for further evaluation.
Sanitary District Expansion
A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Tamaya Loewe, to approve the addition of parcels 290120976.01, 290121019, 290121069 to Sanitary District 1. A roll call vote was taken: Loewe – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y. Motion carried 5-0.
Resolution 2026-3 Amending the 2026 Budget
A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Ray Feldman, to approve Resolution 2026-3 Amending the 2026 Budget. A roll call vote was taken: Loewe – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y. Motion carried 5-0.
Lake N Woods Plat
Tabled.
Roads Report
Requests for road bids will be posted soon for opening in May and the maintenance completed by July 4th.
New plow truck is on schedule.
Tree clean up continues.
Work being done to trap beavers on 16th.
Zoning/Permits
5 permits were issued in March. 2 were for new houses.
Parks
Final work on the playground will begin soon.
Board Reports
Keith Korbein –
Has been attending webinars held by the Wisconsin Towns Association.
He encourages the board to purchase Badger Books to help with the administration of elections.
Mauston Ambulance answered 214 calls in February. 7 were in Germantown.
With nicer weather watch for motorcycles and ATVs.
Gregg Haunroth –
Attending Sanitary District 1 meetings regarding future capacity.
The town should begin to plan to update the Comprehensive Plan.
The Juneau County Ditch that runs through the southern part of the township may need to be revitalized. He will reach out to the county and DNR.
Public Comment
Karl Johnson spoke about recent judgement against him for ordinance violations.

A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Tamaya Loewe, to move into closed session. A roll call vote was taken: Loewe – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y. Motion carried 5-0.
Open Session
A motion was made by Keith Krobein, seconded by Ken Jax, to move into open session. A roll call vote was taken: Loewe – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y. Motion carried 5-0.
