Present:               Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Supervisors Jim Collis, Keith Korbein, Ken Jax, Ray Feldman, Zoning Administrator Dick Martin, Emergency Management Director Christopher Leopold, Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Michaele Korbein

Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. at the town hall.

 

Minutes

A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Keith Korbein to approve the minutes from November’s meetings.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Bank Reconciliation

The information was read and placed in the audit file.

 

Checks/Vouchers

A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve checks 13405-13450 totaling $97,277.61, check 5019-5020 totaling $1,511.40, and checks 5020-5021 totaling $1,511.39.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Resolution 2022-15

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve Resolution 2022-15 Amending the 2022 Budget.  A roll call vote was taken:  Collis – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

2023 Budget

A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve the 2023 Budget.  A roll call vote was taken:  Collis – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Fire Contracts

A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve the Necedah Fire and New Lisbon Fire contracts for 2023.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Allocation of Funds

A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Keith Korbein, to allocate funds from sale of a truck to the 2023 budget.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Resolution 2022-12 Appointing the Clerk/Treasurer

A motion was made by Gregg Haunroth, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve Resolution 2022-12 Appointing the Clerk/Treasurer.  A roll call vote was taken:  Collis – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Preliminary and Final Plats for the 8th Addition to Stone Gate Lake

A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve the 8th Addition to Stone Gate Lake.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Camping Permit Application

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve the camping permit application form. 

 

Fee Schedule

A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve the fee schedule as presented except for raising the fee for locating records from $25 to $35.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Emergency Management

The radio for the new truck will be installed next week. 

 

The grant received by Mauston Ambulance for training.  Because of purchases such as mannequins more training can be done in house.

 

In January Christopher Leopold will begin working with the DNR for a fire grant.

 

The Town could look at doing a referendum to move forward

 

Road Report

None

 

Zoning Administrator

Permits for 2 new homes were issued in November.  There have been 69 issued hear to date.

 

Park

The well is in for the bathroom.  The project is on budget.

 

Board Reports

Jim Collis              Thank you to the staff for their work on the budget.

 

Ray Feldman –   Howard Marklein and Tony Kurtz will be attending the County Board meeting in January.  It is hoped that the state budget surplus will be a topic of discussion.

 

Closed Session

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Jim Collis, to move into closed session.  A roll call vote was taken:  Collis – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Open Session

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Jim Collis to move into open session.  A roll call vote was taken:   Collis – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

2023 Payroll

A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve a 5% raise to hourly employees, the Zoning Administrator, and Emergency Management Director.  Motion carried 5-0

 

Adjourn

A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Jim Collis, to adjourn at 7:44 p.m.  Motion carried 5-0.
