Planning Commission Meeting Minutes

January 11, 2023

 

Present:            Commission Chair Shannon Armel, Commissioners Ken Jax, Keith Korbein, Mick McCormick, Gervase ThompsonDeputy Clerk/Treasurer Michaele Korbein

Absent:            Zoning Administrator Dick Martin

Guests:             Josh Roeku

 

 

–Call to Order

The Planning Commission meeting was called to order by chairperson Shannon Armel at the Germantown Town Hall at 5:30pm.   The Pledge of Allegiance was said.

 

–Possible approval of the December meetings minutes

Ken Jax made a motion, seconded by Mick McCormick, to approve the minutes of the December 7, 2022 Planning Commission meeting.  Motion passed 5-0.

 

–Staff Meeting for Three Rivers Development

Discussion with Josh Roeku about he and several other owners developing the remaining 13 acres of undeveloped PUD land from the original PUD.  The land is currently for sale by original owner. Only 3 eight-unit buildings were developed of the original 10 buildings that were approved. The group was only interested in adding 3 eight-unit buildings and 2 two-unit duplexes to help lower their future dues. Shannon Armel directed Josh to review the Section 3.08 PUD in the Zoning Ordinance to find out what all would be involved.

 

–Discussion and possible approval of amending the Nuisance Ordinance

During last meeting’s fee discussion, wording was suggested to amend the Nuisance Ordinance to address brush dump violators.   Ken Jax made a motion and seconded by Mick McCormick to amend the Nuisance Ordinance and to recommend approval to the Town Board to include a new line in Section 4.1. “m.” to identify “No unpermitted dumping in brush dump. See Fee Schedule for permit fees and fines.”.   Motion passed 5/0.

 

–Discussion and possible approval of changes ordinances as related to fees, in combination with

–Discussion and possible approval of changes /updates to the fee schedule

Began discussing Ordinance 2 Liquor Licenses and related fees. The thoughts were to increase Class A Liquor License from $95 to $100. And Operator Licenses from $20 to $25. The rest of the ordinance and fees need to be reviewed for next meeting. 

Did a quick review of Ordinance 7 Snowmobiles and Ordinance 13 Regulating Traffic and the fees but determined to come to next meeting with thoughts. 

 

Next meeting will be Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 5:30pm.

Keith Korbein made a motion to adjourn seconded by Ken Jax. Motion passed 5-0.

Meeting adjourned at 6:46 pm.
