Regular Board Meeting Minutes

January 9, 2023

 

Present:               Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Supervisors Tamaya Loewe, Keith Korbein, Ken Jax, Ray Feldman, Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Michaele Korbein

Absent:                Zoning Administrator Dick Martin, Emergency Management Director Christopher Leopold

 

Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at the town hall at 6:00 p.m.

 

Verification of Posting

The meeting was posted as required.

 

Minutes

A motion was made by Tamaya Loe

we, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve the minutes from December’s meetings.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Bank Reconciliation      

The reconciliation was read and placed on file for audit.

 

Checks

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ray Feldman, to approve general fund checks 13950-13989 totaling $55,106.67, tax account checks 1558-1563 totaling $2,671,337.90.  and EFT’s totaling $6,908.66.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

ARPA

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ken Jax, to accept a bid from Bolder Services for a boiler in the public works building contingent on an appropriate warranty.  A roll call vote was taken:  Loewe – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Operator’s License

A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Tamaya Loewe, to approve an Operator’s License for Kelsey Rachas.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Emergency Management

Mauston Ambulance has begun servicing the northern part of the county.  They have moved an ambulance and personnel to Necedah. 

 

Roads

No report.

 

Zoning

There was one permit issued in December.  There were 72 new house permits issued in 2023.

 

Park/Town Hall

No Report

 

Board Reports

Gregg Haunroth                Was approached about the building of a campground.  He provided the process that would need to take place.  Keith Korbein added that this would be the subject of discussion at the next Planning Commission meeting.

 

Ken Jax                                 Has been working on the employee handbook.  A draft has been forwarded to the board for review.

 

Ray Feldman                       Reported that another car has driven off the boat ramp on 15th and into the Little Yellow River.  There was discussion of placing additional signage between North Shore Drive and the ramp.

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ken Jax, to adjourn at 6:25 p.m.  Motion carried 5-0.
