The Town Board of the Town of Germantown, Juneau County, Wisconsin, hereby provides its written notice and an agenda for the public meeting of the Town Board on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at N7560 17th Avenue, New Lisbon, WI.

        Regular Meeting Minutes

        May 12, 2026

        Present:                Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Supervisors Tamaya Loewe, Keith Korbein, Ken Jax, Ray Feldman, Public Works Director Craig Cox, Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Michaele Korbein

        Absent:                 Zoning Administrator, Dick Martin

         

        Call to Order

        The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. at the town hall. 

        Posting Verified

        Posting online and the 3 public places was verified.

        Minutes

        A motion was made by Tamaya Loewe, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve the minutes of April’s meetings.  Motion carried 5-0. 

        Bank Reconciliation

        The bank reconciliation was read aloud and placed on file for the auditor. 

        Vouchers/Checks

        A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Tamaya Loewe, to approve general funds checks 15249-15289 totaling $70,828.67 and Impact Fee EFT totaling $500.  Motion carried 5-0.

        Operator’s License

        The license was tabled until further information can be received regarding the background check.

        Badger Books

        A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Tamaya Loewe, to purchase 2 Badger Books and a router.  A roll call vote was taken:  Loewe – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y.  Motion carried 5-0.

        Laptop Purchase

        A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve the purchase of a laptop with a budget of $2,000.   Motion carried 5-0.

        Turtle Acres

        A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ray Feldman, to approve the preliminary plat of Turtle Acres subdivision.  A roll call vote was taken:  Loewe – Y,

        Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y.  Motion carried 5-0.

        Emergency Management

        In March Mauston Ambulance took 266 calls.  11 were in the Town of Germantown.

        Roads/Public Works

        Road patching is done.  Gravel is coming. Tree cleanup continues. New truck production is on schedule.  Park bathrooms will be opened next week. 

        Zoning/Permits

        9 permits were issued in April.  5 were for new homes.

        Parks

        Handicap ramp will be put on the park piers.

        Board Reports

        Keith Korbein                       Will be attending a WTA meeting regarding roads.  Will be attending upcoming emergency management classes.  May 17-23 is EMS week. 

        Gregg Haunroth                  A traffic study will be done on 29th over Memorial Day weekend.  Boat ramp parking will also be checked. County board committees have been condensed for cost savings.

        Public Comment

        Karl Johnson approached the board regarding court judgement.

        The meeting was adjourned at 6:55 p.m.
