Present:               Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Supervisors Keith Korbein, Ken Jax, Jim Collis, Ray Feldman, Zoning Administrator Dick Martin,  Emergency Management Director Christopher Leopold

Absent:             Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Michaele Korbein,

Call to Order  

The meeting was called to order at the town hall at 6:03 p.m.

 

Minutes 

A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve the meeting minutes from the February meeting.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Treasurer’s Report

The report was read and placed on file for audit.

 

Checks

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve general fund checks 13548-13565 and EFTs totaling $63,683.12, municipal court check 2011 totaling $57.00 and tax account check 1545 totaling $4,487.00 and liabilities totaling $6,118.41.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Operator’s Licenses

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Jim Collis, to approve operator’s licenses for Michelle Carroll, Andrew Schaitel and Abigail Schaitel.  Motion carried 5-0.

A motion was made by Gregg Haunroth, seconded by Ken Jax, to deny an operator’s license for Shawana Schroeder.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Cigarette and Non-Intoxicating Beverage Licenses

A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve a cigarette and non-intoxicating beverage license for The Landing. Motion carried 5-0.

 

Amending Ordinance 7

A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve an amendment to Ordinance 7.  A roll call vote was taken:  Collis – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Fee Schedule 

A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approved updating Ordinance 2 and Ordinance 7 on the fee schedule.  A roll call vote was taken:  Collis – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y.  Motion carried 5-0.

  

Emergency Management 

Flood season is approaching.  If you have a sump pump, make sure it is operational. 

A winter burn of brush dump contents that are not taken by Lamberts should be considered with thoughts about tending to the fire, and the effect on neighboring land owners.

Many municipalities that are covered by Camp Douglas Ambulance have reached out to Mauston Ambulance about service as Camp Douglas asked for a mid-contract rate increase.  A March 28 meeting with those municipalities is planned.

 

Roads Report

None

 

Zoning Administrator’s Report

5 permits were issued in February.  3 were for new homes.

 

Parks

 

Board Reports

Gregg Haunroth – In response to a complaint, the garbage dumpster on Wiley Lane will be removed from its location near the road.

There will be a review of the park progress and finances.

Keith Korbein – Suggested that ARPA money be used to move parking lot lights.

Ken Jax –              None

 Jim Collis –          Thanks to the Public Works Department for their work on the roads this winter.

 Ray Feldman –    None

 

Closed Session

A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Keith Korbein, to move into closed session per state statute 19.85 (1)(c).  A roll call vote was taken:  Collis – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Open Session

A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Jim Collis, to move into open session per state statute 19.85 (2).  A roll call vote was taken:  Collis – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Adjourn 

A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Keith Korbein, to adjourn at 7:15 p.m.  Motion carried 5-0.
