Planning Commission Meeting Minutes

May 31, 2023

Present:               Commission Chair Shannon Armel, Commissioners Ken Jax, Keith Korbein, Mick McCormick, Gervase Thompson, Zoning Administrator Dick Martin, Mick McCormick, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Michaele Korbein

Absent:                None

Applicant Present:           Mike Edwards

Public attending:              Brad Pavloski, Pat Pavloski, Chris Renner, Tamaya Loewe

–Call to Order

The Planning Commission meeting was called to order by chairperson Shannon Armel at the Germantown Town Hall at 5:33pm. 

Pledge of Allegiance

–Possible approval of the April meeting minutes

Keith Korbein made a motion, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve the minutes of the April 12, 2023 Planning Commission meeting.  Motion passed 5-0.

–Discussion and possible approval of rezoning for Mike Edwards

Discussion of information.  The two acres would be for his tree-trimming/cutting business.  A building would be put up within six months.  Ken Jax made a motion, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve and recommend to the Town Board the rezoning of 2 acres along Hwy 58 owned by Mike Edwards.  Motion passed 5/0.

–Discussion and possible approval of conditional use permit for Mike Edwards

The conditional use permit is for an on-premise double-sided sign along Hwy 58.  Setbacks from Hwy 58 are good with the DOT.  Ken Jax made a motion to approve a conditional use permit for an on-premise 4’x8’ double-sided sign on two acres of applicant Mike Edwards’ property at N6858 State Road 58, pending the Town Board’s approval of rezoning of two acres of the six acres he owns there, seconded by Mick McCormick; motion passed 5/0.

–Adjourn.

Keith Korbein made a motion to adjourn seconded by Mick McCormick. Motion passed 5-0.  Meeting adjourned at 6:54 pm.
