Present:               Commission Chair Shannon Armel, Commissioners Ken Jax, Keith Korbein, Mick McCormick, Gervase Thompson, Mick McCormick, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Michaele Korbein

Absent:                Zoning Administrator Dick Martin

Guests:                 one member of the public

-Call to Order

Planning Commission meeting was called to order by chairperson Shannon Armel at the Germantown Town Hall at 6:02 pm.   The Pledge of Allegiance was said.

-Possible approval of meeting minutes.

Two spelling errors were noted for correction on the April 20, 2022 tiki bar public hearing minutes where ‘ar’ should be ‘bar’ and ‘not’ should be ‘no’.  Keith Korbein made a motion, seconded by Mick McCormick, to approve the minutes of the two public hearings of April 20, 2022 to include the two spelling corrections and also the Planning Commission meeting of April 20, 2022 as written.  Motion passed 5-0.

-Work Session re: camping in Camping Ordinance, Zoning Ordinance, and Nuisance Ordinance

Per State of Wisconsin, municipalities can no longer have a camping ordinance as they cannot legislate camping, but it can be inserted as part of another ordinance to be able to regulate sewage.  The best location for this was in the zoning ordinance.  Discussed the camping insertions and adjustments to the use table and fee schedule in the zoning ordinance and made additional changes.  As a result, additional changes were noted in the work in progress copy and typed into the digital copy. Shannon will email her updated copy to send to the commissioners for review.  Keith Korbein made a motion to present at a public hearing (date to be determined) the proposed updated zoning ordinance, use table and fee schedule as adjusted to include camping, seconded by Ken Jax. Motion passed 5/0. 

A date was discussed for holding a joint Planning Commission/Town Board public hearing for the proposed updates and adjustments to the zoning ordinance, use table and fee schedule to include camping. Best date for the commission members was July 20, 2022 at 5:30pm, with a Planning Commission meeting to immediately follow.    

-Adjourn.

Ken Jax made a motion to adjourn seconded by Keith Korbein. Motion passed 5-0.

Meeting adjourned at 7:07 pm.
