Proper Notice

Clerk/Treasurer, Susan Ganther, confirmed proper posting of Open Book and Board of Review via newspaper, and public posting.

 

Chairman of Board of Review

A motion was made by Keith Korbin, seconded by Ken Jax, to appoint Gregg Haunroth as Chairman of the Board of Review.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Vice Chairman of Board of Review

A motion was made by Gregg Haunroth, seconded by Ray Feldman, to appoint Keith Korbein Vice Chairman of the Board of Review.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Member Training Requirements

Proper training was received by Ken Jax (5-2-18), Keith Korbein (5-29-18) and Susan Ganther (5-9-18)

 

Confidentiality Ordinance

The Confidentiality Ordinance was passed 5-8-18.

 

New Laws

Claude Riglemon explained Act 68 and the impact it had on the assessment process. 

 

Telephone/Written Testimony Policy

A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve the Procedure for Sworn Telephone or Sworn Written Testimony Requests.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Waiver of Board of Review Hearing

A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Skip Barton, to approve the Procedure of Waiver of Board of Review Hearing Requests policy.  Motion carried 4-1.

 

Filing and Summary of Annual Assessment Report

The Annual Assessment Report has been filed by the Assessor’s office.

 

Receipt of Assessment Roll by Clerk

The Assessment Roll was received by the Clerk.

 

Review of the Assessment Roll

The Assessment Roll was reviewed by the Board.  Questions regarding values and acreage were answered by the Assessor.

 

Certifying of Corrections

There were no corrections to be made.

 

Assessor Verification of Open Book Changes

The Assessor will be providing notification of changes as a result of Open Book.

 

Taxpayer Examination of Assessment Data

There were no taxpayers present to examine the data.

 

With no taxpayers present to object to their assessment and no requests to schedule a time to be heard, the Board of Review was adjourned at 5:35 p.m.
