Pledge

Possible approval of meeting minutes

A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve the minutes from the July 17,  2019 meeting. Motion carried 4-0.

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve a date correction in the wording of the minutes of November 15, 2017, to reflect that it was October 11, 2017’s minutes and not November 15, 2017’s minutes that were approved at the November 15, meeting.  Motion carried 4-0.

Discussion and possible approval of a CSM to combine Lots 127 of Fifth Addition to Island Lake at Copper Point and 128 of Sixth Addition to Island Lake at Copper Point

The person who bought a lot there wanted more space to build a house bigger than the normal 1000-1700 square foot.  The combining of the two lots would double the available square footage available to build on. Keith made a motion to approve a CSM to combine lots 127 of Fifth Addition to Island Lake at Copper Point and 128 of Sixth Addition to Island Lake at Copper Point, seconded by Mick McCormick. Motion carried 4-0.

Discussion and possible approvals of the preliminary plat and the final plat of Seventh Addition to Island Lake at Copper Point

Per the Pavloski’s, this is consistent with the ordinance and is the next part of the first phase. They noted demographics of buyers used to be that 10% of those who bought here lived here; in Island Lake, more than half are now living here as buyers are making their properties into permanent residences.  Mick McCormick made a motion  to approve preliminary plat and the final plat of Seventh Addition to Island Lake at Copper Point, seconded by Ken Jax.  Motion carried 4-0.

Work session on zoning ordinance updates

Vierbicher is working on our project.  Shannon Vogele will be having another discussion with them on October 1.

Keith Korbein and Ken Jax had attended a WTA class re: cell phone G5 technology information. Municipalities cannot deny companies to install equipment but were advised to get ahead of this with an ordinance regarding charging to place equipment in right-of-ways.

Another class they attended had to do with water ways, as well as ponds in developments, and that the DNR could possibly take over control of ponds.

Need to find out if the County’s Shoreline Ordinance is done and get a copy.

Discussed date for next meeting -could be October 9, 2019 at 5:30pm.

Adjourn

Ken Jax made a motion, seconded by Keith Korbein, to adjourn at 6:09 p.m.  Motion carried 4-0.

Respectfully Submitted,

Michaele Korbein, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer
