Regular Meeting Minutes

August 20, 2024

 

Present:              Supervisors Tamaya Loewe, Keith Korbein, Ken Jax, Ray Feldman, Zoning Administrator Dick Martin, Emergency Management Director Christopher Leopold, Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Michaele Korbein

Absent:                 Chairman Gregg Haunroth

 

Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. at the town hall.

 

Verification of Posting

The agenda was posted at three public places.

 

Minutes

A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Tamaya Loewe, to approve the July meeting minutes.  Motion carried 4-0.

 

Bank Reconciliation

The Bank Reconciliation was read aloud and placed on file for the auditor.

 

Checks

A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Tamaya Loewe, to approve general fund checks 14147-14322 totaling $101,966.35, EFT from Impact Fees for $231.54, and tax account check 1549 totaling $418.23, and payroll liabilities totaling $4,601.04.  Motion carried 4-0.

 

Operator’s License

A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Tamaya Loewe, to approve Operator’s licenses for Rachel Randall and Abbagale Randall.  Motion carried 4-0.

 

Emergency Management

Mauston Ambulance will be completing their budget process August 26. 

A CPR class will be held at the town hall for town employees.

Chris received a complaint from the Three Rivers HOA President about loud ATV/UTV traffic on 17th between G and 38th

Juneau County Emergency Management Director Jeremy Bonikowske commented about exploring emergency access points in PUDs with ponds/lakes.

 

Roads

The woodpile was reduced by a party wanting firewood.  Chipping will start next month.

Crack filling and patching to be done next month.

 

Building Permits

3 permits were issued in July.  1 for a new house.

 

Parks

Work on the playground will continue Saturday, August 24.

 

Board Reports

 None

 

Public Comment

A resident of Three Rivers commented that ATV/UTV is not the issue on 17th.   Screeching car tires and diesel trucks are a bigger problem.

 

Closed Session

A motion was made by Tamaya Loewe, seconded by Ken Jax, to go into closed session.  A roll call vote was taken:  Loewe – Y, Korbein – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y.

 

Open Session

A motion was bade by Tamaya Loewe, seconded by Ken Jax, to go into open session.  A roll call vote was taken:  Loewe – Y, Korbein – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y.

 

Adjourn

A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Ken Jax, to adjourn at 6:34 p.m.  Motion carried 4-0.
