Present: Chairman Rosetta Boyle, Supervisors Gregg Haunroth, Dale Simonson, Jim Collis, Ray Feldman

Also Present:  Zoning Administrator Bill Bruce, Emergency Management Director Fred Cobbs, Clerk/Treasurer Marion Uphoff, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther, Town Workers, Dick Martin and Jeff Keating

Absent:  None

 

The meeting was called to order in the Town of Germantown at 7:00 p.m.

A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Dale Simonson, to approve the agenda in any order.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Gregg Haunroth, seconded by Dale Simonson, to accept the Treasurer’s Report.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Dale Simonson, seconded by Jim Collis, to approve Operator’s Licenses for Jacqueline Byrnes, Veronica Meyer, and Dawn Denman.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Dale Simonson, seconded by Gregg Haunroth, to approve the updated Municipal Court Ordinance which now includes New Lisbon.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Dale Simonson, to approve the amended contract with Mauston Ambulance.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Jim Collis, to reaffirm acceptance of the Ordinance regarding Non-metallic Mining.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Gregg Haunroth the accept the following election workers:  Jean Arciszewski, Michaele Korbein, Karen Caple, Lynn Domaske, John Stephens, Christine Tafel, Jan Brendle, Gail Mayers, Joyce Pecoraro, Wendy Bruce, Rose Balsiger.  Motion carried.

Emergency Management Report

The radio license has been updated and will be good for the next 10 years.  Dale Simonson will be representing Germantown at a Wildfire Protection Program meeting.  Curbside chipping has been approved for 2014 by the DNR.  Implementation of dry fire hydrants throughout the township is being explored.

Parks

No report.

Board Member Reports

Gregg Haunroth – Preliminary approval has been received for the 15th Street Boat Ramp project and the applications have been sent in.  Gregg is looking into any grants Germantown would qualify for.

Zoning

2 permits were issued during the last month.

Vouchers

A motion was made by Gregg Haunroth, seconded by Dale Simonson to approve vouchers 17079 thru 17120 totaling $27,379.42 and EFT’s totaling $8,709.06.  Motion carried.

Public Comment

There was no public comment.

Report on Personnel Matters

A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Dale Simonson, to move into closed session as per State Statutes 19.85 (1)( c) considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any employee.  A roll call vote was taken:  Boyle: Y, Simonson: Y, Haunroth: Y, Collis: Y, Feldman: Y.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Dale Simonson to reconvene into open session as per State Statute 19.85(2). A roll call vote was taken:  Boyle: Y, Simonson: Y, Haunroth: Y, Collis: Y, Feldman: Y.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Dale Simonson, to adjust Dick Martin’s pay to $21.60/hr.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Dale Simonson, to adjust Jeff Keating’s pay to $16.00/hr.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Gregg Haunroth, seconded by Dale Simonson, to adjust Fred Cobbs’ pay to $15.50/day.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Dale Simonson, seconded by Jim Collis, to appoint Susan Ganther as Clerk/Treasurer and adjust her pay to $20/hr.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Dale Simonson, to appoint Marion Uphoff Assistant Clerk/Treasurer and adjust her pay to $20/hr.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Gregg Haunroth to accept an application from Dick Martin for the position of Zoning Administrator with pay of $20/day.  Motion carried.

Adjourn

A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Dale Simonson to adjourn at 7:55 p.m.  Motion carried.
