Regular Meeting Minutes
December 10, 2024
Present: Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Supervisors Tamaya Loewe, Keith Korbein, Ken Jax, Ray Feldman, Emergency Management Director Christopher Leopold, Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Michaele Korbein
Absent: Zoning Administrator, Dick Martin
Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. at the town hall.
Verification of Posting
Susan Ganther verified posting by Dick Martin and herself.
Minutes
A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve the minutes from November’s meetings. Motion carried 5-0.
Bank Reconciliation
The reconciliation was read and placed on file for audit.
Checks
A motion was made by Tamaya Loewe, seconded by Keith Korbien, to approve general fund checks 14467-14526 totaling $173,095.37 and an impact fee transfer of $5,325.14. Motion carried 5-0.

None
2025 Budget
A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Tamaya Loewe, to approve the 2025 budget. A roll call vote was taken: Loewe – Y, Korbein -Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y. Motion carried 5-0.
Resolution 2024-9 Appointing Clerk/Treasurer
A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Tamaya Loewe, to approve resolution 2024-9 appointing Susan Ganther as Clerk/Treasurer to a 3-year term. A roll call vote was taken: Loewe – Y, Korbein -Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y. Motion carried 5-0.
Emergency Management
Mauston Ambulance budget approved.
Fire in O’Dells Bay.
Truck radios were fixed.
Christopher attended training through Wisconsin Emergency Management.
Roads
No Report
Zoning
9 permits were issued in November. 6 were for new homes. 64 permits have been issued for new homes year-to-date.
Board Reports
Keith Korbein The Planning Commission continues to discuss short term rentals.
Gregg Haunroth Received another municipality’s job description for an administrator position for reference if the town moves forward to create the position.
Ray Feldman Juneau County Board is soon voting on a resolution to borrow 8 million dollars to purchase equipment and fund manpower.
Public Comment
A question on whether all ARPA funds have been spent. They have been designated with final billing on project is yet to be fully paid.
Mauston Ambulance is looking into a new landing zone as the one at the public works building can no longer be used due to the construction of the salt shed.
A question on TDS placing fiber optic in areas already serviced by LYNXX. An explanation was given about how service areas are dictated by the FCC. Hopefully competition in the area will be a benefit to consumers.
