Present:               Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Supervisors Ken Jax, Keith Korbein, Skip Barton, Ray Feldman, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Michaele Korbein, Zoning Administrator Dick Martin

 

Absent:                Emergency Management Director Fred Cobbs, Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther,

Assistant Emergency Management Director Christopher Leopold

Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at the town hall at 6:00 p.m.

 

Pledge of Allegiance

Approved agenda in any order

 

Presentation from MBE accountant

Hillary Sorge of MBE presented and reviewed the draft of the current audit.  Final version is coming after corrections are made.

 

Minutes

A motion was made by Skip Barton, seconded by Ken Jax, to accept the minutes from the November 16, 2021 budget hearing, meeting of the town electors, and the regular Board meeting.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Treasurer’s Report -Bank Reconciliation Report

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Skip Barton, to accept the Treasurer’s report as read.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Vouchers and Checks

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Skip Barton to approve the vouchers and checks #12821-12823 and #12872-12919 totaling $60,022.37, correction to the numbering of check #12873 to 12820 in November’s listing, #2006 for $95, petty cash payouts totaling #35.52, and EFTs totaling $7,875.31.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Operator’s License

None.

 

Discussion and possible approval of contracting UW/University Year to conduct a 3-year traffic/road/walking path study

This is a three-year study for which we can pick our price for the study chosen. The study can help when applying for grants and could start with 2021.  A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Skip

 

Committee Reports:

Public Safety/Emergency Management

No report.

 

Roads

Guard rail on 38th is done.  Roads were very slippery but warm weather predicted should melt most of it. 

 

Zoning Administrators Report

7 permits were issued in September; 6 of them are for new homes, for a total of 99 permits for new homes issued for the year.

 

Parks/Town Hall/Buildings

Nothing new to report.

 

Board Reports:

 

Ray Feldman – Juneau County is losing population, but Germantown is growing along with southeast part of county by Wisconsin Dells.   Zoning Ordinance and Land Use Ordinance will be sent to Gavin at UW for the study project, and to get back a written report when the study is done to be used for grants.

 

Skip Barton – Guard rail looks great.

Keith Korbein – Nothing new.

Ken Jax – Nothing new.

Gregg Haunroth – Nothing new.

 

Public Comment

Closed Session as per State Statutes 19.85 (1)( c) considering employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data of any employee

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ken Jax,  to go into Closed Session as per per State Statutes 19.85 (1)( c) considering employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data of any employee; motion carried by roll call vote: Jax -Y, Feldman -Y, Haunroth -Y, Korbein -Y, Barton -Y.

 

Reconvene in open session as per State Statute 19.85(2)

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ken Jax,  to go reconvene in open session as per State Statute 19.85(2); motion carried by roll call vote: Jax -Y, Feldman -Y, Haunroth -Y, Korbein -Y, Barton -Y.

 

Discussion and possible approval of 2022 payroll

Ken Jax made a motion, seconded by Ray Feldman, to approve a 6% pay increase to the hourly employees, and a 3% increase to the daily stipend employees; motion carried by roll call vote: Jax -Y, Feldman -Y, Haunroth -Y, Korbein -Y, Barton -Y.

 

Adjourn

A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Skip Barton to adjourn at 7:23pm.  Motion carried 5-0.
