Present: Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Supervisors Skip Barton, Keith Korbein, Ken Jax, Ray Feldman, Emergency Management Director Fred Cobbs, Assistant Emergency Management Director Christopher Leopold, Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther
Absent: Zoning Administrator Dick Martin,

Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at the town hall at 6:00 p.m.

Minutes
A motion was made by Skip Barton, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve the minutes from the January meetings.  Motion carried 5-0.

Bank Reconciliation
A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Skip Barton, to accept the bank reconciliation.  Motion carried 5-0.

Vouchers/Checks
A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Skip Barton, to approve vouchers and checks 10563-10632 totaling $254,291.86 and EFTs totaling $6,872.10.  Motion carried 5-0.

Operator’s Licenses
A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ray Feldman, to approve an operator’s license application for Jacqueline Barr.  Motion carried 5-0.

Resolution 2018-2 Budget Amendment
A motion was made by Skip Barton, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve Resolution 2018-2.  A roll call vote was taken:  Barton – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y.  Motion carried 5-0.

Tractor Bid
It was determined that John Deere’s bid was better than the one submitted by Case.  John Deere had a much better warranty.  Dick has gone forward and placed the order for the tractor.

Resolution Preparation
Dick Martin will move forward with the preparation of resolutions related to Sand Point, Beach Lake and Island Lake PUDs.  He will be assisted by Chris Renner.  The final draft will be reviewed by Bill Curran prior to Board approval.

Emergency Management
January had 6 ambulance calls, 0 fire calls, 36 police calls.

Fred Cobbs and Christopher Leopold will be working to update the Emergency Management Plan.

Fred Cobbs will be purchasing polls to hold wind socks at emergency helicopter landing sites.

Juneau County was not receptive to the idea of placing a $.50 per rented campsite fee for sites at County Parks to offset expenses related to providing emergency services to the park which the County does not pay for.

Roads
A letter was sent out to Buckhorn Acres property owners with an application to have any trees in the town right of way on their property reviewed and possible kept standing after tree cutting begins prior to the construction of roads.

Parks/Hall
None

Board Reports
Ray Feldman – He was approached by several people about the loud boat activity in the summer.  He will be checking with other lakeside communities to see how they handle that situation and will report back at a later date.

Ken Jax – He went to the Sanitary District meeting in Ray Feldman’s place to meet with district board and a potential auditor.  An audit is likely to happen around June.

Gregg Haunroth – Shipwreck has submitted an application for additional piers.  Before the town considers the application, Shipwreck will need to provide permit information from the DNR.

Keith Korbein – Keith and Ken Jax went to the Wisconsin Town’s Association district meeting.  A major topic was the broad band bill.

Zoning/Permits
There were no permits issued in January.

Public Comment
Brad Pavloski stated that he was questioned by Juneau County on who provided land owners with a fire number.

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Skip Barton, to adjourn at 6:30 p.m.  Motion carried 5-0.
