Present: Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Supervisors Skip Barton, Dale Simonson, Jim Collis, Ray Feldman, Zoning Administrator Dick Martin, Emergency Management Director Fred Cobbs, Assistant Emergency Management Director Christopher Leopold, Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther
Absent: None
The meeting was called to order at the town hall at 6:00 p.m.
Minutes
A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Dale Simonson, to approve the January meeting minutes. Motion carried 5-0.
Treasurer’s Report/Bank Reconciliation/Vouchers
After review of the financial information a motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Skip Barton, to accept the Treasurer’s report and bank reconciliation as printed, approve checks 26917-26970 totaling $35,350.58, checks 1212-12-25 totaling $2,498,320.02, and EFTs totaling $6,553.63. Motion carried 5-0.
Operator’s License
A motion was made by Dale Simonson, seconded by Ray Feldman to approve an operator’s license for Carlye Morris. Motion carried 5-0.
Buckhorn Acres
Buckhorn Acres is to supply a petition to the Town Board asking for paved roads to be installed. An engineer will have to be hired.
A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Jim Collis, to move forward with the gathering of information, and negotiation of terms related to the possibility of paving the roads in Buckhorn Acres. Motion carried 5-0.
Comprehensive Plan
This subject was tabled and will be discussed at a future meeting.
Employee Handbook
The Board was asked to review a rough draft of an update to the employee handbook. A human resources professional will be consulted before a final handbook is adopted.
Emergency Management
In January there were 28 police calls and 11 ambulance call.
New maps were received from the County.
There is currently significant flooding in Pittsville. That water will make its way here by late in the week.
Mauston Ambulance has been approached by Camp Douglas Ambulance to provide administrative services through the end of 2017. There is also the potential for Mauston Ambulance to take over Camp Douglas’s coverage area sometime in 2018.
Roads
There is currently water over the gravel section of 16th Avenue. It is possible that the section of road may be temporarily closed.
Parks/Hall
A quote was received to replace the roof on the pavilion in the park. This repair has been budgeted for.
Board Member Reports
Jim Collis – The Buckhorn Café was close to being purchased but was not at the last minute.
Zoning
There will be a meeting of the Board of Appeals regarding a garage on Wiley Lane.
There were no permits issued in January.
Public Comment
A resident asked if the Town would approach cell service providers about putting a tower in Germantown to improve coverage.
A resident asked if the Town would take over the roads in Wildlife Estates if they were graveled. This cannot happen because it is not allowed per the Town’s Zoning Ordinance.

A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Dale Simonson, to adjourn at 6:45 p.m. Motion carried 5-0.
