Present: Chairman Rosetta Boyle, Supervisors Gregg Haunroth, Dale Simonson, Jim Collis and Ray Feldman, Emergency Management Director Fred Cobbs, Zoning Administrator Dick Martin, Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther, Town Officer Cameron McChesney
Absent: None
A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Gregg Haunroth to accept the minutes from the December 10, 2013 Regular Town Board Meeting and the December 18, 2013 Special Town Board Meeting. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Gregg Haunroth, seconded by Jim Collis, to accept the Treasurer’s Report and Reconciliation Report. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Rosetta Boyle, seconded by Dale Simonson, to accept an Operator’s License application from David Kowalewski pending a background check. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Jim Collis, to approve Ordinance 52A Setting the Municipal Court’s Jurisdiction. Motion carried.
Emergency Management
CWC has been contacted about radio problems.
A tabletop will be attended by board members and the town clerk at the Kalahari.
Maps of the township have been provided to the town by Brad Pavloski. The maps will be shared with appropriate agencies.
The town hall was opened during a power outage as emergency shelter.
Roads
Jim Collis stated that he has received positive feedback from the public regarding the plowing of roads.
Parks/Hall
Several maintenance issues regarding that hall were discussed. In the spring those items will be addressed.
The board will consider the sale of two safes in the town hall.
Board Reports
15th Street permit should be sent out later this week.
Gregg Haunroth reported on a letter from Jim Marx regarding the placement of buoys and the Town’s responsibility for their placement.
Building Permits
4 permits were issued in December
Vouchers
A motion was made by Gregg Haunroth, seconded by Jim Collis, to approve vouchers and checks 17143-17178 totaling $29,250.25. Motion carried.
Public Comment
Bill Bruce commented that the County will be given the previously mentioned maps.
Gervase Thompson asked that dispatch also be provided with the maps.
Michaele Korbein asked if there was anything that the town could do about large pieces of land being burned to prevent homeowners from being “smoked out”.
