Present:       Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Supervisors Skip Barton, Keith Korbein, Ken Jax, Ray                                                            Feldman, Zoning Administrator Dick Martin, Assistant EM Director Christopher Leopold,                                              Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Michaele Korbein

Absent:        EM Director Fred Cobbs

 

Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at the town hall at 6:00 p.m.

 

Minutes

A motion was made by Skip Barton, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve the minutes from December’s meeting.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Reconcilement

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Skip Barton, to accept the bank reconciliation.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Checks

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Skip Barton, to approve checks and vouchers 11784-11843 totaling $167,171.19.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Preliminary and Final Plat for 1st Addition to Beach Lake

A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve the Preliminary and Final Plat for the 1st Addition to Beach Lake.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Resolution 2020-1 Amending the 2020 Budget

A motion was made by Skip Barton, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve Resolution 2020-1 amending the 2002 budget.  A roll call vote was taken:  Barton – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Power Lines

A representative from Oakdale Electric informed those in attendance of 3 upcoming projects.

The first project would be running of overhead power lines down Highway 58 from Whistling Wings to 38th Street. 

The second project would be running underground power lines along 37th Street from Hwy 58th to 15th Avenue. 

The third project would be replacing over head power lines from 15th Avenue to 17th Avenue.  This project would also involve replacing a portion of the line that cuts through Town own land and running it next to the road.  The result of this would be a need to cut back trees to allow clearance.

A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Skip Barton, to approve the removal of trees on town land by Oakdale Electric after easement documentation is provided.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Operator’s License

A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve an Operator’s License for Rachel S Mueller-Lucier.  Motion carried 5-0.

Public Safety

No Report

 

Road Report

7 beavers have been trapped on 16th Avenue.  The USDA would like to destroy the beaver dams in the next month.  This should help restore water flow and alleviate problems that water is causing with the road.

 

Parks/Hall

No Report

 

Board Reports

Gregg Haunroth – Sanitary District 1 will begin evaluating septic permits in the Town of Germantown.  They will determine a property’s ability to hook into the Sanitary District. 

 

Zoning/Permits

3 permits were issued in December.  1 for a new house.  In 2019 102 permits were issued with 69 being for new homes.

 

Public Comment

A member of the audience asked the board to address a rumor about stolen property from Sanitary District 1.  This rumor is false.

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ken Jax, to adjourn the meeting at 6:45 p.m.  Motion carried 5-0.
