Present:               Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Supervisors Skip Barton, Keith Korbein, Ken Jax, Ray                                                                   Feldman, Zoning Administrator Dick Martin, Emergency Management Directors Fred                                                         Cobbs and Christopher Leopold, Clerk Treasurer Susan Ganther

Call to Order

 The meeting was called to order at the town hall at 6:00 p.m.

 

Project Recovery

Karen Eggleston presented information on Project Recovery for those affected by the flooding this fall. This program focuses on emotional and psychological support.

 

Minutes 

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve the minutes from the December 2018 meeting. Motion carried 5-0.

 

Treasurer’s Report 

A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Keith Korbein, to accept the Treasurer’s Report as read. Motion carried 5-0.

 

Checks 

A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve 11100-11216 totaling $173,280.26 and EFT’s totaling $5,732.11. Motion carried 5-0.

 

Final Plat of Island Bay at Castle Rock Lake 

It was confirmed that the outfall pipe had been run under 16th and out to Castle Rock Lake. The road had been patched for the winter and performed well during snow plowing. A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Skip Barton, to approve the Final Plat of Island Bay at Castle Rock Lake. A roll call vote was taken: Barton – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y. Motion carried 5-0.

 

Preliminary and Final Plat of Beach Lake 

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve the preliminary and final plats of Beach Lake. A roll call vote was taken: Barton – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y. Motion carried 5-0.

 

Emergency Management/Public Safety 

December had 28 police calls, 1 fire call, and 8 ambulance calls.

 Fred Cobbs will be taking an online course on pipeline safety.   

Fred Cobbs and Christopher Leopold will be working on stocking each truck and building with first aid supplies and placing Sharps containers in all restrooms. 

Christopher Leopold reported that the Town of Clearfield has signed a contract with Mauston Ambulance. This will result in a reduction of several thousand dollars in service dues for the Town of Germantown.

 

Parks/Halls 

Gregg Haunroth has been working with the bike/pedestrian path coordinator for Juneau County to map out areas in the Town of Germantown that could be used for the paths. Having proposed paths included in the County’s plan will help in the application for and possible receiving of grant money in the future to complete any paths.

 

Board Reports 

Gregg Haunroth – Administrative Assistant, Linda Salzwedel, has submitted her resignation effective January 11. An ad for a replacement has been sent to the Juneau County Star Times.

 

Zoning Administrator Report 

33 new homes were built in 2018. Nearly 9 million dollars in value has been added to the Township.
