Regular Meeting Minutes
July 16, 2024
Present: Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Supervisors Tamaya Loewe, Keith Korbein, Ken Jax, Ray Feldman, Zoning Administrator Dick Martin, Emergency Management Director Christopher Leopold, Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther, Deputy/Clerk Treasurer Michaele Korbein

Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. at the town hall.
Verification of Posting
The agendas were posted at the three public places.
Minutes
A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve the minutes from June’s meetings.
Bank Reconciliation
The report was read and placed on file for audit.
Checks
A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Tamaya Loewe, to approve general fund checks 14233-14276 totaling $258,238.21, tax account checks 1577-1578 totaling $15,758.69, and impact fee EFT totaling $208.03, and EFTs totaling $6,610.86. Motion carried 5-0.
40 et 8 License
A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve picnic licenses for 40 et 8. Motion carried 5-0.
Operator’s License
A motion was made by Tamaya Loewe, seconded by Ray Feldman, to approve Operator’s Licenses for Lee Pingel, Mya Gehle, and Catherine Kremmer. Motion carried 5-0.
Auditor
Due to a history of untimely service, Gregg Haunroth is exploring other auditor options. Once a quote has been received it will be brought before the board.
Waterfest Permit
A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ray Feldman, to issue a fireworks permit to the Waterfest Committee, with the fee waived as a donation. Motion carried 4-0 with Tamaya Loewe abstaining.
Budget Resolution
A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Tamaya Loewe, to approve Resolution 2024-4 Amending the 2024 Budget. A roll call vote was taken: Loewe – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y. Motion carried 5-0.
ARPA Funds Designation
There were no quotes presented for approval.
Emergency Management
Maintenance of Effort reports were completed and provided to municipalities.
MAAA is meeting July 16 with other emergency service providers to work on incident response procedures.
Roads
There was road damage on 43rd due to a car fire. Scott Construction will look at the damage and provide a quote to fix it. The cost will be forwarded to the owner of the car, if one is located, through the fire department.
The brush dump will be chipped at the end of August.
Zoning
12 permits were issued in June. 11 were for new homes. There have been 39 new home permits issued this year to date.
Parks/Town Hall
Another workday will be scheduled to complete the playground installation.
A quote is coming to strip and paint the doors into the town hall.
Board Reports
Gregg Haunroth – Has received complaints about speeding on 15th between Hwy G and 32nd.
Captain Pederson and Undersheriff Board were present and said additional patrolling would take place. There was also discussion on radar signs being placed and the costs associated with that.
Ray Feldman – Stated the park was well used over the July 4th holiday.
Fireworks are prevalent. There was discussion with the Sheriff’s Department representatives that Ray should bring up at the State’s convention for Counties about state laws allowing for the sales of fireworks but not the use of them.
Public Comment
A statement was made about the importance and excellence of the Town of Germantown
emergency service providers.

A motion as made by Ken Jax, seconded by Tamaya Loewe to adjourn at 6:21 p.m. Motion carried
