Present: Chairman Rosetta Boyle, Supervisors Jim Collis, Greg Haunroth, Ray Feldman, Dale Simonson, Zoning Administrator Bill Bruce Clerk/Treasurer Marion Uphoff, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther

Absent:  Emergency Management Director Fred Cobbs

 

Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Town of Germantown.

Marion Uphoff verified proper posting of the agenda.

Motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Dale Simonson to accept the June meeting minutes.  Motion carried.

The reconciliation report was read into the record.   A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Greg Haunroth to accept the report.  Motion carried.

Licenses/Permits

A motion was made by Dale Simonson, seconded by Ray Feldman, to approve Operator’s License applications from Krista Welki, George Burgi, Ivan Ledvina, Anne Housworth, Brenda Thorne, and Leslye Keltner.  This approval is contingent on background checks by Officer McChesney.   Motion carried with Greg Haunroth and Jim Collis abstaining.

A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Jim Collis to approve application by Gary Robison for a fireworks permit for Waterfest. 

Emergency Management

Bill Bruce noted that he is getting notifications from the dams that water is flowing very fast.  He cautioned the audience to be careful when boating by the dams.

 

Roads

Work on 40th should be done by the end of the month.

Hiring MSA

A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Dale Simonson to reaffirm the hiring of MSA for phase 1 of the EMS building project.  A roll call vote went as follows:  Ray Feldman – yes, Jim Collis – yes, Rosetta Boyle – yes, Dale Simonson – yes, Greg Haunroth – yes.

Board Reports

Rosetta Boyle read a letter from Sheriff Oleson stating that Officer Cameron McChesney will be permanently assigned as Germantown’s officer.

Greg Haunroth is continuing work on getting the 15th Street boat ramp repaired.  Approximate cost to dig up the existing ramp and prepare for installation of a new one is $5,000.  Greg is concerned about parking issues by the ramp and will contact the Pavloski’s to inquire about their future plans in that area and how it may affect the project. 

Zoning Administrator’s Report

4 permits were issued since the last meeting.  1 for a new home, 2 for replacing trailers with double wides, and 1 for a deck.

Vouchers

A motion was made by Jim Collis, seconded by Dale Simonson to approve checks 16840-16865 totaling $45,424.07, EFTs 2013-25 through 2013-28 totaling $8,809.85 and transfer  $65,000 from Bank of Mauston to BMO Harris Bank.  Motion carried.

Comments were heard from 3 members of the audience.

A motion was made by Dale Simonson, seconded by Jim Collis, to adjourn the meeting at 7:25 p.m.  Motion carried.
