Present:               Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Supervisors Skip Barton, Keith Korbein, Ken Jax, Ray                                                                   Feldman, Zoning Administrator Dick Martin, Emergency Management Directors Fred Cobbs and                                      Christopher Leopold, Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Michaele Korbein

Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at the town hall at 6:00 p.m.

 

Minutes

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Skip Barton, to approve the minutes from June’s meetings. Motion carried 5-0.

 

Correction to 2018 Minutes

A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve correcting the check total in the December 2018 minutes changing it from $62,787.70 to $66,158.53. Motion carried 5-0.

 

Treasurer’s Report

A motion was made by Skip Barton, seconded by Ken Jax, to accept the Treasurer’s Report. Motion carried 5-0.

 

Checks and EFT’s

A motion was made by Skip Barton, seconded by Ken Jax to approve checks 11492-11537 totaling $84,686.51 and EFT’s totaling $4,837.18. Motion carried 5-0.

 

Operator’s License

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Skip Barton, to approve an Operator’s License for Molly Vlasak. Motion carried 5-0.

 

Resolution 2019-4

A motion was made by Skip Barton, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve budget resolution 2019-4. A roll call vote was taken: Barton – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y. Motion carried 5-0.

 

Ordinance 30 Establishing Speed Zones

 A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Ken Jax, to amend Ordinance 30 changing the speed limit on 15th Avenue from Hwy G south to the Little Yellow River from 35 mph to 25 mph.   A roll call vote was taken: Barton – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y, Jax – Y, Feldman – Y. Motion carried 5-0.

 

Road Name Change

A motion was made by Skip Barton, seconded by Keith Korbein, to change the name of Campfire Lake Drive to Island View Drive provided there are currently no property owners other than the developer on Campfire Lake Drive and that updated maps will be provided to the Town. Motion carried 5-0.

 

Emergency Management

Mauston Ambulance Director, Christopher Leopold, informed the board about Camp Douglas Ambulances intention to become a “Flex” service. This means that Camp Douglas’s service and regressed from an Advanced EMT service to a Basic EMT service to allow them to operate as a paramedic level service only if they have a paramedic on duty. Mauston Ambulance is concerned that when asked to provide for an intercept or mutual aid they will not know what level of care is being provided prior to their arrival along with other issues that may arise when the level of the care Camp Douglas can provide could change from hour to hour.

 

Roads

All seal coating is done. Crack filling and filling of dips in Castle Rock Estates will be done soon. Construction on 37th will happen the week after Labor Day.

 

Parks

Plants were purchased to be placed around the town hall sign. MSA is working on a proposal to do an outdoor recreation plan to go along with the comprehensive plan. This will allow the Town to apply for grant money to improve the park.

 

Board Reports

Barton – Windsocks will be put up in the next 2 weeks.

 

Zoning/Permits

16 permits were issued in June, 14 were for new houses. There have been 46 permits for new houses issued year to date.
