Regular Meeting Minutes

June 10, 2025

 

Present:             Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Supervisors Tamaya Loewe, Keith Korbein, Ken Jax, Ray Feldman, Emergency Management Director Christopher Leopold, Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Michaele Korbein, Public Works Director, Craig Cox

Absent:              Zoning Administrator, Dick Martin

 

Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. at the town hall.

 

Posting

Proper posting was verified.

 

Rezoning of Parcel 290120363

A presentation was made by OneEnergy about a potential solar project.

A motion was made by Tamaya Loewe, seconded by Keith Korbein, to change the zoning of parcel 290120363 to commercial for the purpose of a solar field.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Minutes

A motion was made by Tamaya Loewe, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve the minutes of May’s meetings.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Bank Reconciliation

The bank reconciliation was read and placed on file for audit.

 

Checks and Vouchers

A motion was made Keith Korbein, seconded by Tamaya Loewe, to approve checks 14749-14792 totaling $36,781.89 and EFT’s totaling $5,615.69.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Budget Resolution 2025-4

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Tamaya Loewe, to approve Budget Resolution 2025-4.  A roll call vote was taken:  Tamaya – Y, Keith – Y, Gregg – Y, Ken – Y,

Ray – Y.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Pier Ramp

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ray Feldman, to install a $1,000 ADA compliant ramp from the shore to the piers in the park.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Liquor Licenses

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve liquor, tobacco, and non-intoxicating beverage licenses to applicants from The Dirty Turtle, Shipwreck, Buckhorn Grill and Bar, Buckhorn Store, Pine Cove, Portofino, and The Landing.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve Operator’s Licenses to the applicants presented with Susan Cook, Bridget McClyman, Anna McConkey and Emma Sweers being required to provide class certification prior to receiving a license.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Emergency Management

The public should be reminded that Hwy 58 and its ditches are not accessible by UTV/ATV. 

Hwy 21 around Necedah will be closed beginning in July until fall. 

Sheriff’s Department has a new app.

Slow down for deer.

 

Roads

Road work on 40th, 41st, 20th, 43rd and O’Dells Bay has been completed.

Mowing and grading of roads has started.

Gate is up in the brush dump.

 

Zoning/Permits

5 permits were issued in May.  There were no permits for new homes.

 

Parks

Playground work continues.

 

Board Reports

 

Keith Korbein                  Watch for ATV’s.

Gregg Haunroth           People using the dump are being surveyed on options for hours of operation. 

                                        Waiting on dump camera installation

                                        Germantown Deputy, Charlie Smart, was introduced. 

                                        Will be working with the sanitary districts and county zoning on an ordinance related sanitary district service area requirements.

                                          Waiting for a response from New Lisbon Fire regarding a fire bill related to a large condo fire.

 

Ken Jax                                Requested a new flag be installed at the cemetery. 

 

Public Comment

Question about increased police action on speeding on subdivision roads. Deputy

Smart was present and is aware of the problem.

 

Closed Session

A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Keith Korbein, to go into closed session.  A roll call vote was taken:  Tamaya – Y, Keith – Y, Gregg – Y, Ken – Y,  Ray – Y.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

 Open Session

A motion as made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ray Feldman, to go into open session.  A roll call vote was taken:  Tamaya – Y, Keith – Y, Gregg – Y, Ken – Y, Ray – Y.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Adjournment

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Tamaya Loewe, to adjourn the meeting at 7:19. Motion carried 5-0.
