Present:   Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Supervisors Ray Feldman, Dale Simonson, Skip Barton, Zoning Administrator Dick Martin, Assistant Emergency Management Director Bill Bruce, Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther

Absent:  Supervisor Jim Collis, Emergency Management Director Fred Cobbs

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. in the Town of Germantown.

Minutes
A motion was made by Dale Simonson, seconded by Skip Barton to approve the minutes from the May meetings.  Motion carried 4-0.

Treasurer’s Report/Vouchers
A motion was made by Dale Simonson, seconded by Ray Feldman to accept the Treasurer’s report and approve vouchers 25788-25825 totaling $27,228.31 and EFTs totaling $5,668.98.  Motion carried 4-0.

Liquor Licenses
A motion was made by Skip Barton, seconded by Dale Simonson to approve the following liquor licenses:

Class B Combination:

  • Cutler Amusement Corp. (Kozy’s Pizza)
  • Pine Cove Bar and Grill
  • JJM Corp. of Mauston (Buckhorn Café)
  • The Dirty Turtle LLC
  • C&B Investments (Shipwreck)
  • James Collis (Buckhorn Store)

Class A Combination:

  • Wendy Navis (The Landing)
  • Ronald and Jacqueline Pocevicz (Germantown Junction)

Class B Beer:

The motion carried 3-0 with 1 abstaining.

 

Operator’s Licenses
A motion was made by Skip Barton, seconded by Dale Simonson, to approve the following Operator’s Licenses:

Resolution 2015-5
A motion was made by Dale Simonson, seconded by Ray Feldman to approve Resolution 2015-5 Adoption of the Town of Germantown Community Wildfire Protection Plan.   Motion carried 4-0.

Emergency Management
For the month of May there were 6 ambulance calls, 8 fire calls, and 60 police calls.

Roads
Summer projects are nearly complete.  The road replacement project in Castle Rock Estates will begin soon.

Parks
Piers are being assembled this week (June 8-12) and should be installed by the following weekend.

In future years they will be installed by Memorial Day.

Board Reports
Ray Feldman reported that after watching one of the online training videos that are available to the board and committee members that they will be a very good resource.

Gregg Haunroth reported that he has contacted the DNR regarding the swim area at the Harbor.  Dimensions seem to have changed and may no longer be in line with what the approved application stated.  He is waiting to hear back from the DNR on whether they will review.

Ray Feldman reported that it will be unlikely that the County will approve a fireworks ordinance.

Zoning/Building Permits
6 permits were issued.  2 were for new houses.

Public Comment
The board was asked whether or not the reason for police calls could be conveyed to the public.

A resident served the Township by picking up 7 garbage bags of garbage.

District Attorney Solovey gave a general update from his office.  So far in 2015, 202 misdemeanors and 91 felonies have been prosecuted by his office.  The office has run within its budget in 2013 and 2014.

A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Dale Simonson, to adjourn in 6:50 p.m.  Motion carried 4-0.
