Regular Meeting Minutes

March 11, 2025

6:00 p.m.

Present:              Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Supervisors Tamaya Loewe, Keith Korbein, Ken Jax, Public Works Director Craig Cox, Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Michaele Korbein

Absent:              Supervisor Ray Feldman, Zoning Administrator Dick Martin, Emergency Management Director Christopher Leopold

 

Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. at the town hall.

 

New Lisbon School

Superintendent, Scott Hickey, presented information regarding the upcoming referendum.

 

Minutes

A motion was made by Tamaya Loewe, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve the minutes of February’s meetings.  Motion carried 4-0.

 

Bank Reconciliation

Read and placed on file for audit.

 

Checks

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Tamaya Loewe, to approve checks 14617-14635 totaling $54,640.00 and a $250,000 transfer from the tax account to general fund.  Motion carried 4-0.

 

Reserve Liquor License

The town qualifies to issue a reserve license.  Legal council will be obtained before one would be issued to follow any licensing requirements.

 

Sheriff’s Department Camera

A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Keith Korbein to approve $1250.00 to the county for continuing support of the license plate camera on Hwy G.  A roll call vote was taken:   Tamaya – Y, Keith – Y, Gregg – Y, Ken – Y.  Motion carried 4-0.

 

Rezoning

A motion was made by Gregg Haunroth, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve the zoning change to land attached to Castle Rock Hideaway Campground contingent on additional campground plans being provided.  A roll call vote was taken:   Tamaya – Y, Keith – Y, Gregg – Y, Ken – Y.  Motion carried 4-0.

 

Loader

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve the purchase of a loader for $15,000.   A roll call vote was taken:   Tamaya – Y, Keith – Y, Gregg – Y, Ken – Y.  Motion carried 4-0.

 

Security Gate

The quote for the security gate at the public works buildings has not been received yet.  It will come before the board once received.

 

Operator’s License

None

 

Emergency Management

Mauston Ambulance is continuing to work towards a different business model.

 

Roads

Craig is preparing for road improvements this spring/summer.

 

Parks

Benches, bike racks, and grills being installed.  Work on playground continuing soon.

 

Board Reports

Keith Korbein                  Stated that EMS is a hot button issued all over the state.

Gregg Haunroth           Remember the April 1st election.

Ken Jax                               Still looking for information on real estate sign at High Ridge.

 

Adjourn

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Tamaya Loewe, to adjourn the meeting at 6:48 p.m.  Motion carried 4-0.
