Present:               Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Supervisors Skip Barton, Keith Korbein, Ken Jax, Ray Feldman,  Assistant EM Director Christopher Leopold, Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Michaele Korebin

 

Absent:                Emergency Management Director Fred Cobbs, Zoning Administrator Dick Martin

 

Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at the town hall at 6:00 p.m.

 

New Lisbon School District 

A video presentation was made by the District Administrator and School Board Treasurer.  Presentation covered upcoming referendum.  Referendum funds would cover things such as roofing project, HVAC, parking lot resurfacing and operations. 

 

Minutes 

A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Skip Barton, to approve the February minutes.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Treasurer’s Report 

The report was read and placed in a file for audit.

 

Bank Reconciliation 

A motion was by Ray Feldman, seconded by Skip Barton to accept the Bank Reconciliation.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Checks 

A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Skip Barton, to approve checks 12989-13066 totaling $37,763.23 (corrected from $38,994.48), check 5007 totaling $1,231.25, check 2007 totaling $133.00, check 5006 totaling $1,231.25 and EFTs totaling $5,982.20.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Operator’s Licenses 

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Skip Barton, to approve Operator’s Licenses for Alexis Rachas and Katelyn Boeke.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Purchase of F550 Plow Truck 

A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Skip Barton, to purchase a Ford F550 truck and plowing accessories contingent on acceptance of trade in and all qualified municipal discounts being applied not to exceed $107,815.00.  A roll call vote was taken:  Barton – Y, Korbein – Y, Haunroth – Y,

Jax -Y, Feldman – Y.  Motion carried 5-0. 

 

Sanitary District 2 

A member of the board of Sanitary District 2 has resigned due to moving out of the District.  District 2 will reach out to District members to see who would be interested in being appointed to the open position.

 

Public Safety 

Mauston Ambulance held their annual meeting.  

Fred Cobbs will be resigning his position as Emergency Management Director. 

 

Roads 

County and Town road bans begin Monday, March 14.

 

Zoning 

No permits issued in February.

 

Park 

Bid opening delayed giving more time to attract more bidders.  The project may be split into pieces to allow bids by companies with particular expertise to bid that part of the project instead of having to bid the project as a whole.

 

Board Reports 

Ray Feldman/Ken Jax     Met with UWM architecture students about UniverCity Year project.  They toured the town and may be able to apply for grant money.

 

Gregg Haunroth                Captain Pederson from the Sheriff’s Department will give a report at next month’s meeting.

 

Keith Korbein                     UTV and ATV traffic is picking up.  Addition signage will be needed.

 

Expenditures for ARPA funds need to be determined soon.  First reporting needs to be submitted by the end of May.

 

Public Comment 

State Park officials are saying that without a wet spring there will be a high fire danger this year.

A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Skip Barton, to adjourn at 7:08 p.m.  Motion carried 5-0.
