Present:               Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Supervisors Ken Jax, Keith Korbein, Skip Barton, Ray Feldman, Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Michaele Korbein, Zoning Administrator Dick Martin

 Absent:                Emergency Management Director Fred Cobbs, Assistant EM Director Christopher Leopold

 

Call to Order

 The meeting was called to order at 5:34 p.m. at the Town Hall.

 

Park Update

 Updates included information on lighting, parking lot wheel stops and bathroom design. 

 

Sheriff’s Department Update

 Captain Pederson update the board on the call volume for the summer months.  There were several UTV fatalities in the township in 2021.  The cost for service is expected to go up 6% in 2022 and 3% in 2023.

 

Minutes

 A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Skip Barton, to approve the October minutes.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Bank Reconciliation/Treasurer’s Report

 A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Keith Korbein, to accept the bank reconciliation/Treasurer’s report.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Vouchers and Checks

A motion was made by Skip Barton, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve checks 12825-12873 totaling $78,170.58 and EFTs totaling $5,349.73.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Operator’s Licenses

 A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Skip Barton, to approve Operator’s licenses for Sheridan Reichel, and Kelly White.  Motion carried 5-0.

  

New Lisbon Fire Contract

 Discussion on the rise in price for both fire departments.  A motion was made by Ken Jax to approve the 2022 New Lisbon fire contract as presented. Second by Skip Barton.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Necedah Fire Department

 A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Skip Barton, to approve the 2022 Necedah fire contract.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Resolution 2021-9 Accepting American Rescue Plan Act Funds

 A motion was made by Skip Barton, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve Resolution 2021-9.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Resolution 2021-10 Amending the 2021 Budget

 A motion was made by Ken Jax, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve Resolution 2021-10 Amending the 2021 Budget.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Whistling Wings

 A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Skip Barton, to move forward with the process of vacating a road in Whistling Wings that was not constructed and potential sale of the land to bordering landowners.  Motion carried 5-0.

 

Emergency Management

 Mauston Ambulance’s insurance bill came in much higher than expected.

 

Roads

 Road work is done for the year.  $16,000 was received in LRIP funds which will be used next summer for work on Park Place Drive.

 The plows have been put on the trucks.

 

Parks

 None

 

Board Reports

 Gregg Haunroth                The board may want to consider discontinuing rental of the town hall to non-residents as there has been problems with the last 2 rentals.

 Skip Barton                         The new windsock was put up with the assistance of Grey Electric.

 Ken Jax                                 Construction for the Sanitary District continues.

  

Zoning

 26 permits were issued in October.  21 were for new homes.  93 permits for new homes have been issued year to date.

 

Public Comment

 There was question about the rising cost of diesel fuel and how that will affect the plowing budget.  It was mentioned that it all depends on the weather and how much plowing will need to be done.

 A motion was made by Skip Barton, seconded by Ken Jax, to adjourn at 6:57 p.m.  Motion carried 5-0.
