Present: Chairman Gregg Haunroth, Supervisors Keith Korbein, Ken Jax, Ray Feldman, Zoning Administrator Dick Martin, Clerk/Treasurer Susan Ganther, Administrative Assistant Linda Salzwedel
Absent: Supervisor Skip Barton, Emergency Management Director Fred Cobbs
Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at the town hall at 6:00 p.m.
BlueZone PC
Jason Huggins from BlueZone PC gave his report after conducting an audit of our computer system security. He does have some recommendation to implement but based on their score of 0 (best) to 1000 (serious problems) the Town of Germantown rated a 10. Jason will provide a quote to assist in implementing the recommended changes.
Minutes
A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve the minutes of the August meetings. Motion carried 4-0.
Bank Reconciliation and Treasurer’s Report
A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ray Feldman, to accept the bank reconciliation and
Treasurer’s report. Motion carried 4-0.
Checks
A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ray Feldman, to approve checks 10314-10331 totaling $120,493.55 and EFT’s totaling $4,400.65. Motion carried 4-0.
Operator’s Licenses
None
Liquor License
A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Ken Jax, to approve a Reserve Class B Combo Liquor License, soda license, and cigarette license, for Buckhorn Store LLC, after the current licenses are surrendered by Collis Enterprises. Motion carried 4-0.
Castle Rock Gardens/Portofino Road
There was discussion about a road between Castle Rock Gardens and Vista Circle in the Portofino PUD. The road provides public access to Castle Rock Lake. There has been an issue regarding a gate at one end of the road and whether it should be open or closed. Further information will be gathered regarding the opinions of all affected residents in Castle Rock Garden and further discussion will happen at a later date. The ATV club will also be consulted in relation to their posted routes.
Preliminary and Final Plat of 3rd Addition to Island Lake at Copper Point
A motion was made by Keith Korbein, seconded by Ray Feldman, to approve the Preliminary and Final Plat of the 3rd Addition to Island Lake at Copper Point (Lots 68-91). Motion carried 4-0.
Budget
A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Keith Korbein, to approve Resolution 2017-3 Amending the 2017 Budget. A roll call vote was taken: Feldman – Y, Jax – Y, Haunroth – Y, Korbein – Y. Motion carried 4-0.
Emergency Management
August emergency calls were as follows: Police 57, Ambulance 17 (5 med flights), Fire 5.
Dick Martin and Gregg Haunroth will be attending next week’s Mauston Ambulance meeting where their budget will be discussed.
Roads
Mowing and shoulder work continues. Speed limit signs will be going up at the entrances to each subdivision.
Parks
There was a badger tearing up the park prior to Labor Day Weekend. The park was closed and the badger was caught with assistance from the DNR.
Board Reports
Ken Jax – September 21 is the next Wisconsin Towns Association meeting in Mauston.
Gregg Haunroth – Legal documentation is being drawn up regarding the construction of roads in Buckhorn Acres.
Zoning
2 building permits were issued. 1 for a new home.
Public Comment
Sandy Henneman stated that they are still open to have a med flight landing zone on their property in Portofino.

A motion was made by Ray Feldman, seconded by Keith Korbein, to adjourn at 6:42 p.m. Motion carried 4-0.
